Show Police get tough on parking fines By Clint Wardlow Staff reporter "Registration packets, transcripts, or school records will be withheld from students who have accrued $6 or more in parking fines," said Connie Faulkner, secretary to WSC Chief of Police. "The student is sent a letter notifying him that his packet is being withheld," said Faulkner, "and if the fines are not paid the student will be unable to register for school." Parking fines range from $2 to $15. A $2 fine is assessed for those violations including improper display of parking decal and parking in a no parking zone. A fine of $5 will be charged for parking without a current decal or parking in an "A" lot with a "B" sticker. Use of a false or fraudulently obtained parking sticker will cost the violator $15. The registered owner of the vehicle ticketed is responsible for paying parking fines. Vehicles not registered for parking with the campus police are identified through the Utah State Motor Vehicle Registration. A $1 charge will be added to all fines not paid within ten days of ticketing. Fines can be paid at the cashier's office in the Administration Building.
