Wildcat Theatre Oct. 31. 7:00 & 9:30 p.m. SPOOK ALLEY & COSTUME CONTEST OCT. 31st "Is There Life After College?" will be the subject of comic Bill Alexander at this Thursday's noon convocation. Alexander's four act, one-man play covers four years of college life. The play elaborates on roommates that are perfectly matched-to somebody else. He talks about the great revelation of freshman year that there is no God and of senior year that there are no jobs. Alexander also discusses the anxiety of essay test and blind dates. Alexander has toured with this presentation for two years. He has also showcased in Los Angeles and New York night clubs as a stand up comic. In his hometown of Boston he is a producer for Warner Cable T.V. and has a comedy program on Boston's largest radio station. Last year he toured over 40 colleges with "Is there Life after College?" So far this year he's performed it at Notre Dame, the University of Wisconsin, and most of the Northeastern college campuses. The convocation is open to everyone and there is no admission charge. Browning Center Main Auditorium. Ombudsman to discuss complaints Students' concerns regarding campus parking will be heard at a meeting tomorrow at 1 p.m. in Room 228 of the Union Building. Chris Anarado, Ombudsman, said the meeting will provide students an opportunity to offer their suggestions on how campus parking can be improved. He said recent complaints received by his office which will be discussed at tomorrow's meeting revolve around three issues: parking fines levied on students; inconvenience caused by the one hour parking meters; and requests for a review of the criteria required for issuance of parking lot stickers designated, "A." "We will take the students' suggestions to another meeting we're having with the campus parking lot committee next week," he said. Artist Guild A WSC Artist Guild is now forming. The first meeting will be Thursday at noon in room 120 of the Art Studio. All students currently enrolled in an art class may attend. Women's Re-entry Program A women's re-entry brown bag lunch will be held tomorrow at noon in room 228 of the Union Building. News Bureau The News Bureau is expanding its operations into a "Hometowners" program. Under this program, a news release is sent to the hometown newspapers of students who have distinguished themselves or are participating in various campus activities. Students wishing to partake in this program should leave information in room 313 of the Administration Building, or put it in the mail addressed to the News Bureau, 1010, "Hometowners." The information should include name, current address, class in school, major, parents name and address, high school andactivities. |
