Also in the meeting ASWSC Supreme Court nominees were interviewed and the cabinet decided not to send a student government representative to a law enforcement conference in Colorado.Curtis Smout reported that the new car is a 1973 Chevrolet four-door sedan with a V-8 engine and air conditioning. It is costing $2,400 with the trade in, according to Smout. He also said the transmission in one of WSC's cars "is out" and will cost $300 to repair.Ken Lowe and Boyd Holbrook were interviewed for Supreme Court positions during an executive session of the meeting. It was also decided to get a report on the law enforcement conference being held in Colorado from one of the Police Science students planning to attend, instead of sponsoring an individual from student government.Also discussed was the College of Business symposium to be held on Nov. 14, in Ogden Canyon. Studentbody members Kelly Cardon, Brent Johns, Dennis Fowler and Bill Sumner are planning to attend. Wendy Turner said she would check with the Activity Board members to determine if any of them wanted to attend. Fran Wheeler reported in the meeting that Parry Wilson, Dean of Learning Resources, has requested two students be chosen to work on a task force now forming to deal with General Education curriculum development. Wheeler said, "Apparently there's a lot of work that needs to be done by this committee:" Recommendations will be made in the future for this task force. Plans for coming football games were discussed. Cabinet members are invited to sit in the President's Box for the Idaho State game tomorrow. Salt Lake area high school studentbody officers have been invited to the game, reported Ken Burrows. Tickets are available to cabinet members for the Thanksgiving Day game against Utah State University at Logan also. Ron Ray, Ombudsman, and Don Hughes, Senate speaker, were not present to give their regular reports.
