Louver Contract To Be Awarded In Near Future Plans which began early last spring resulted in the approval of the Building Board of Lawrence D. Olpin, the architect for the four new buildings, to prepare the specifications for the installation of metal louvers, called jalousies, on these buildings. After Mr. Olpin prepared the drawings and specifications, bids were called for by the Building Board and were opened on September 24 in the office of the State Building Board. It is expected that the contract will be awarded by the Building Board within the next few days. When installed, these jalousies will permit inside control of the outside louvres to regulate light and heat, according to President Miller. The rooms can also be darkened for the use of visual aids. Wildcats Out To Win The Wooden-Indian By Ken Hull Stack the odds as hgh as you might against the Wildcats for the Boise game Friday. But the Wooden-Indian and the Cats' team spirit, says Milt, promises a close football contest. The Wooden-Indian "incentive" is in its infant stage, this being the second year used. Coach Milt said that the Indian promotes spirit, but that as the years pass this could grow as big between our colleges as the Little Brown Jug game between Minnesota and Michigan states. Boise's tough pre-season has cried out nothing but "strength". Milt said he believes it's the greatest team of Boise's career. (This includes their Rose Bowl bid for All-American). "The success of. the team in any game depends on school support, but we haven't felt it as yet!" exclaimed Meaeham. Since the Cats have lost their first season game, it will be necessary for this victory against our northern friends for top - league placing. This game is marked "the big game" of the year because of the student tension in the past, and the hard-fought rivalry between the two clubs. We have never defeated Boise in a football encounter. The Broncs heavy-hoofed us in 1950 by the score of 33-63, and in '51 13-12. In 1953 we narrowed the score to 8-0. "Boise will go all the way," said Milt, "but we will stop them!"
