The Tech machine racked up 14 points in the first period. The first touchdown came on the kickoff as Harry Thompson raced 85 yards to score. A display of passing climaxed with one from Foreman to Lillie of Oregon Tech gave the Owls their second six-pointer. In the second period Ray Sessions, Weber halfback, ran 70 yards after taking an Oregon punt to score the Weberite's first touchdown. In the third stanza Oregon ripped off two more touchdowns, one by passing and the other on a hand-off play to Clark. Wildcats Tie Ricks, 0 to 0 Weber's highly favored griders managed to get only a scoreless tie with Ricks college in Rexburg, Idaho, Thursday, November 1. The Wildcats were favored before the game to tromp over the Rexburg team by three touchdowns. Weber's attack largely consisted of Quarterback Roger Hall's passing supported by the running of Fullback Lamont Lamb. Though the Ogdenites never scored, they had the ball within ten yards of the goal line on three occasions. Each time, however, Ricks' defense kept the Weber team from scoring. Ricks drove deep into purple and white territory at the last of each half but failed to score. Weber attempted to break the deadlock late in the final quarter with a field goal. This failed as Hathaway, a Ricks guard, blocked the kick. Clark Game Canceled Regularly scheduled final grid game between Weber and Clark College in Vancouver, Washington tonight, was called off early in the season because of Clark's inability to stretch athletic funds. Again early in the fourth period, Oregon's passing added another six points to the scoring. This was another Foreman to Lillie pass. Weber's Roger Hall shot atwenty-yard pass to Ron Wilkinson in the last period to give Weber its final score. Buckingham of Oregon intercepted a Weber pass on the Wildcats' own three yard line and completed the day's snow storm with a touchdown.Score by quarters: Weber ft 7 0 714 Oregon Tech 14 0 14 1341 Rex Layne Vill Referee At Smoker; Bouts Are Slated for Monday At 8:30 Rex Layne, high-ranking contender for the world's heavyweight boxing crown, will referee the senior bouts in Alpha Rho's third anual boxing tournament Monday night, November 19, at 8:30 at the Berthana.
