Sensation of this or any other issue of scandal was the weakening and fall of Clenton Price. After flitting hither and yon amongst the belles and flowers of W. C. for many a day, Clenton concentrated his microphone voice on a campaign that resulted in a marriage with Virginia Larson. Also proof that spring is really here is the very advanced affair shared by Von Holt and Marcene Manning. When couples like them start eyeing furniture store windows with the more-than-interested look it ain't hate, to coin a phrase. And boy has she got a beautiful diamond. Notice of the week: "Lost, one L. D. pin, please return to the registrar's office or Hal Danse." Well, nothing like being frank about it, eh, Marcelle? Mark deserves something or other for staying to the very end of a recent club dance even though many of the other campus "big-shots" found it beneath them, and left. The Joyce Lutz-Elaine Grow combination seems to be almost too much of a temptation for Winslow, and reports have him and Louise definitely going their separate ways. Which sounds like good news for a goodly portion of Weber masculinity. A tan convertible coupe seems to have won Norma Jensen to singing: "A Utah Man Am I." Deciding to play the "same game," Earl Tanner has found himself "another woman" in case of Nice choice, too, Tanner, especially since the navy has sailed. You've been sort of burning your candle at both ends, haven't you Varela? Makes it nice and convenient when one end keeps a steady glow after the other has gone out, eh what? In case anyone hasn't heard a play by play description of the state basketball tournament from Demos,, let it here be said that yes, Demos did go to Provo high . . . and they did whip Davis. Other ex-Provoans include Dr. Dixon and Louise, Far-rell Collett, Ferron Losee, Clair Johnson, Reed Swenson, Nancy Barker (she taught there, but can't be blamed for Demos) and (by marriage) Harold Handley. Glayden Russell always goes to the show by himself, but he always comes out with lipstick on his face. We wonder why? We wonder if Ed Anderson ever told Avon what really happened in Bozeman, and why he got postcards for a week and a half after he got home. Austad, Neuteboom, Richards,! and Jaques hereby give notice that all males are to keep hands off while they are in North Caroline. Ha ! Ha ! April Oh Spring Ah! BEN RICH "Your Shoeman" at From the rediculous to the sublime describes the activities of the Sigma Delt boys during these past two hectic weeks. It all began when ten pledges were "taken for a ride" up Ogden canyon and subjected to the infiignities of a frivolous initiation. Having survived the ordeal with a fortitude to become brothers in Sigma Delta Pi, the pledges were deemed worthy to receive the triangle.Accordingly, a well-planned dinner meeting was held Sunday evening at the Green Gables, at which time the pledges were initiated into membership with appropriate ceremony. Inducted were: Dwayne Russell, Mohrey Eckhardt, Walter Cable, Harry Mitchell, Bill Johnson, Jack Darsen, Dave Grant, By Wood, and Junior Coroles. Final ballots were cast for new officers for the spring quarter. George Handy was retained as honorary president. William Sander was elected acting president; Norman Hancock, secretary; and Junior Coroles, treasurer. Present were Mr. David Trevithick, the club sponsor, the active members, and pledges. Considerable campus comment is being elicited by the new pins proudly displayed by the boys. Attractive, in their simplicity, these bits of jewelry in gold and enamel are set off by tiny rubies in each corner of the triangle, the club insignia.Sigma Delts Pledge New Members Six sophomore girls will be presented with Block W's in appreciation for their outstanding work and participation in W. A. A. during the past two years. These awards are to be made at the annual formal banquet to be held at Dick's cafe April 3 at seven p. m.
