Domingo Mendez Capote, late vice president of tha Cuban republic and now president of the executive ex-ecutive commission, has expressed his belief that the future of Cuba would inevitably be annexation to the United States. This, he said, was the natural outcome of recent events, but he denied that Cuban leaders have that aspiration. aspira-tion. They recognize that annexation will come, and that shortly and by the unanimous voice of the Cuban people themselves, but they desire to see the cause for which they had fought crowned with the success it deserves. |
