Show MRS. COFFIN DEFEATED. 1 Suit For Hslf Interest In Famous New York Silver Mine. Denver, May 27 Judge Butler, in the district court, decided the suit of Mary A. Coffin against A. E. Reynolds, Byron A. Shear and Isaac L. Johnson to recover a half interest in the celebrated cele-brated New York silver mine atCreede worth about 84,000,000, in favor of th defendants. A half interest in the mine was given Mrs. Coffin by George H. Smith, who discovered it. She parted with her interest in-terest in April 1802, for $15,000. She claimed that Reynolds, Johnson, Shear and Colin Timmons conspired to inveigle in-veigle her out of her interest in the mine, the value of which she did not adequately know, but with which they were acquainted. |
