The supposition is to connect with the Rio Grande. A gang of hoodlums one night last week amused themselves by pulling up newly-planted trees, destroying fences, and other acts of barbarism. It is a disgrace on our civilization that such a state of lawlessness should exist. Hardly a week passes in this city without with-out one or more acts of vandalism or hoodlumism being committed, and it is about high time a halt was called. Every means should be used to bring the rascals to Justice, when such an example ex-ample should be made of them as will be a warning to others of the same stamp. The Frank Hepburn Dramatic Company Com-pany left here for Cedar City Wednesday. Wednes-day. They played "Fun in a Boarding School" last Saturday evening, "Ole Olson'' on Monday, and "A Victim of Circumstances'' on Tuesday evening. The company has given good satisfaction satisfact-ion here. It is composed of ladies and gentlemen who are first-rate artists, who pay their bills and do as they agree. The lady went to the Lyceum at the usual hour. 2 o'clock, to attend the regular meeting, which was also to be her last before leaving for White River, and was surprised to tind tables set with picnic and a program arranged for her reception. Si.-ter Judd was indeed surprised, and was completely overcome over-come at a later hour when a gold ring and broach were presented her as a mark of esteem by the members of the Society.
