Show OBITUARY NOTICES. Leonora Cannon, Daughter of David H. and Josephine Cosgrove Cannon, was born at St. George August 31, 1870, died April 13, 1809. Deceased was taken ill about fourteen weeks ago with the grip, which was followed by nervouu prostration. pros-tration. Consumption finally completed complet-ed the work of the destroyer. Funeral services were held in the Tabernacle on Sunday the llith inst. President D. D. MeArthur, Elders George Jarvis, John G. McQuarrie, and Bishop Andrus And-rus Spoke in the highest terms of the virtues of deceased. The route to the cemetary was taken by twenty-rive vehicles, the Young Ladies Mutual Improvement Im-provement Association, of which she was a member, and a number of people afoot. The scene at the graveside was an affecting one. After the remains had been interred two members of the Y. L. M. L A. sang while the others passed and deposited flowers upon the grave. Theu four of the young ladies, each with a large wreath which formed a le'ttfi' deposited them on the grave, the four forming the name of deceased, "Nora." She died tt faithful Latter-day Latter-day Saint, loved and respected by all who knew her. Beata Eliza Cuttam Died at St. George April 13, 1899. Deceased was a daughter of Johannas and Carolina Jonson, was born at Hel-"sihgborg, Hel-"sihgborg, Sweden, June 5, 18H1; baptised baptis-ed at 'Helsungborg, by Elder Anders Borglyn January 18, 1874; came to Utah July 28, 1880; was married in the St. George Temple January 8, 1884, to Charles S, Cottam, by whom she had four eh ildren, three surviving her. She had been in delicate health for some years, and moved, together with her husband and family, to St George from Salt Lake City over a year ago for the benefit of her health. She was a faith-fnl faith-fnl Latter-day Saint, a kind and loving mother and a sincere friend-. Funeral services were held in the Taber-.-".cle on the 15th inst., when appropriate ap-propriate remarks were made by Elders Brigham Jarvis, George E. Miles, William Atkin, President D. D. McArthur, Mc-Arthur, and Bishop Andrus. John Henry Miller, Son of Henry W. Miller, was born at St. George September 11, 1870; died April 10, 1899. Deceased had suffered for some time with DeLamar Mill poisoning, which had so weakened his system that he fell an easy prey to the destroyer. He leaves a wife and three children to mourn his loss. He was a Latter-day Saint, and funeral services were held in the Tabernacle on the 17th inst. |
