Show THE DIXIE B T STAFF students and teachers of the dixie normal college have just enjoyed a three days superintendent horace H and pres george H brimhall both expressed themselves as being highly agrati hed uth the work done in the high school and college and especially pleaded with the spirit of the school in chapel monday morning pres brimhall told the students an interesting te story of a boy who had ind s bupt supt cummings Cummi spoke of the history of the school and the growth it has made after showing how it bad grown from a small academy to one of the leading normal schools he said the general board of education had just given it the official name of dixie normal college at the close of hi remarks bupt supt cummimgs introduced principal woodward as president woodward of the dixie boimal college this occasioned a cheer from the students for the brethren after which the entire school sang we are cheering for you dear dixie the visitors and students were well pleased with the ringing of our splendid chorus a cooil solo by mr mcallister and a cornet solo by mr bleak night school will start november 12 the following will be given SUBJECT PER TEACHER 1 typewriting jonas and stewart 2 bookkeeping jonas and stewart 3 one of the following maude R snow a practical stage directing for amateurs h A course in century poetry c A course in the drama d A course in french 4 survey of physical and hall tanner biological sciences and nickoles Nic boles 5 last 15 years of worlds history H M woodward 6 course in food and cooking may ward 7 course in social dancing jonas and linsey S farmers course in practical dixie farm problems 1 or 2 david gourley these courses will be outlined in detail in next weeks issue of the NES the course will be given at a minimum price which will be announced later |
