Show TEN PiN TAPS by Al Ablett Not much heavy scoring last Monday night. Frank Zaccaria had high series of 576 and Zdu-nich Zdu-nich had high game with 211. Team eight goes merrily on its way winning four more. George Sluga, Bill Ablett, Peter Padgen and George Pollick make up this quaitet and they have won 19 out of 20. Just seems that they get 'em when it counts. Paul Slotte filled in for team three last week and Paul still hits 'em, getting 575. Paul has been a league bowler at the club for many years, but this year his split shift made it too tough so he is filling in. The Wednesday night league is going strong, and some of the boys are improving fast. Buck Leyba, "Buzzie" Gonzales, another an-other good prospect and P. Sanderson San-derson are going along fine just to name a few. Eskel "Herk" to his many friends started jn the Monday night league as a member of Jim Abplanalp's team. Herk took Benny Montoya's place. Benny j was operated on. He is home now and is reported doing fine. The gang are all pulling for Benny to make a quick recovery. The mixed doubles held last Sunday was enjoyed by 14 couples. coupl-es. Ohleen Leatherwood and hus band, Walter, walked off with first . money, followed by Mary and George Zdunich. In third we had two couples tied, Margaret Mar-garet and Pete Borich and yours truly and Arlene Marks. Another big one is slated for this coming Sunday. Starting times are 7, 8 and 9 o'clock. Get your names in early. Here is next week's schedule for Monday night. At 7 o'clock teams 4 vs 7 and 6 vs 1; at 8:30 p.m. its teams 8 vs 2 and 3 vs 5. O |
