Show David Timothy Honored On Birth Anniversary Feted on Saturday, March 6, on occasion of his 89th birthday anniversary, an-niversary, was David Timothy, formerly of Vernal, who has made his home in St. George for the past several years with his children, child-ren, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Schmutz. With him this year is another daughter, Mrs. Pearl Eaton, also of Vernal. Mrs. Schmutz and Mrs. Eaton joined in serving a birthday anniversary an-niversary dinner for their father at the Schmutz home. Guests, beside be-side the family members were former Uintah county relatives and friends of Mr. Timothy, including in-cluding Mr. and Mrs. Don Bige-low Bige-low of Wallsburg, Utah; Mrs. (Continued on page eight) David Timothy (Continued from first page) Pamelia Batty and Mrs. Alice Billings of Vernal; Mrs. Leila Snyder and David John of Provo, and Emil Neidered of St. George. Although he is 89 and has failing fail-ing eyesight, Mr. Timothy was able to attend sessions of the Temple every day throughout the winter, rain or shine, as well as Sundays services, dramatic productions, produc-tions, concerts, book reviews and other evening events in the community. com-munity. Having been for many years school teacher and choir leader in Vernal, he retains a keen interest in these public affairs, af-fairs, and though he cannot see to read clearly, he has memorized memor-ized most of the church hymns and his voice is still clear and good as he joins in the Sabbath singing. |
