Show Cedar Expected To Win Basketball Game Here With Dixie Friday Dixie plays Cedar City in a league game of basketball Friday night at 8 o'clock in the Dixie gym. While the Flyers have little chance of upsetting the up and coming Redmen, the fans will get a chance to see a team that still has hopes of winning the divisional divis-ional championship.- The Redmen are two games behind the Kanab Cowboys, who have taken seven games without a loss. Kanab still has to play on the Cedar City floor, however, also at Hurricane. The Flyers kept a firm grip on sixth place when they defeated a hapless Parowan five last Friday Fri-day 40-19 on the local floor. Starring Starr-ing for Dixie was Dan Hafen, who scored 14 points for his team. It was Dan's last game for Dixie, as he left early this week to join the Navy. Kanab eliminated Enterprise as a contender for the championship by winning from the Eagles 45-29 last Friday at Kanab. Enterprise played at Orderville the following night, but the score has not been reported. Hurricane goes to Enterprise Friday, while Kanab plays at Parowan. Saturday Kanab moves to Cedar as Parowan invades Hurricane. |
