Paul Hill Hero Agivin Paul Ilill of Los Angeles has again been selected to stage the event, and anyone who has attended at-tended a Paul Hill show knows how many thrills accompany the hair-raising riding and bronc busting bust-ing of this company of rodeo entertainers en-tertainers provides. Although many professional cowboys are now doing their riding and roping rop-ing for Uncle Sam, there are still plenty of cowboys, whose work on ranches is essential and vital to the war effort, and who can take a day or two olf to compete for the liberal purses oll'lered at SI. George. Saddle and bareback bronc riding, rid-ing, steer wrestling, roping and Brahma bull riding will highlight the rodeo features, but a numlxT of specal attractions are Ix'ing .added .ad-ded to balance this year's program of entertainment. Local talent will be given an opportunity to lest their courage and skill tonight, (Thursday, Sept. 3), which has been designated as Amateur night. The celebration officially went Into swing with a dinner and dance Wednesday evening. The dinner was held at the Arrowhead Arrow-head hotel, followed by a daniv in the Recreation hall, setting things in motion for a three-day round of entertainment. Starting Thursday there will he a general parade headed by CJueen M.ixine Bowler and her attendants, Kdna R.ie Gardner and Ruby Seegmiller. Seegmil-ler. A delegation from the Ijw Vegas Lions and Klks clubs with floats and banners are joining in the first day's start-off and things look plenty good for a rod.-o up to par of last year's, and that, means a rodeo well worth at-t at-t ending.
