Show Funeral Services Held Monday, Feb. 27 For Madge Louise Burns HURRICANE, Utah Funeral services were held in the North ward chapel Monday, Feb. 27, for Madge Louise Burns, year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Burns of Phoenix, Arizona. The baby died Thursday, Feb. 22, of spinal menengitis after seven days illness. Counselor Arvel Webb of the North ward bishopric conducted con-ducted the services. Music numbers were a vocal solo, "Your Sweet Little Rosebud" by Mrs. Afton W. Gibson, and "Little Pink Rose" by Mrs. Laura J. Cameron and cornet solo, "One Fleeting Hour" by Lafe Staheli. Mrs. Irene Hinton was accompanist. accom-panist. Speakers were Maurice Nuttall and Arvel Webb, both of whom spoke words of comfort and assurance as-surance of the eternity of life. Mrs. Mattie W. Ruesch read the poem, "I Lend You This Child Of Mine." Prayers were by Alvin Larson and Bp. Allen Stout. Burial was in the Hurricane cemetery. Born Jan. 16, at Gabs, Nevada, the child's parents were L. J. and Chritie Workman Burns. Surviving Sur-viving besides the parents are the maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Nephi Workman of Hurricane. Hurri-cane. Mr. and Mrs. Burns will return shortly to their home in Phoenix. |
