Show BUNKERYILLE, Nev. Mrs. Mary II. Leavitt Reporter Cpl. Clair Naegle is home on a week's furlough from Oakland, Calif. He was entertained by his friends Monday with a' pot-luck supper. Speakers at Sacrament meeting last Sunday were Patriarch William Wil-liam E. Abbott and a Mr. Bowler of Mesquite. Mr. and Mrs. ' Henry Leavitt and Fenton Frehner returned from Homedale, Ida., last week where they visited their son, Laurel E. Leavitt and family. Ray Abbott and Nathan Abbott have gone to Nampa, Ida., with a load of farm machinery, as they plan to move there in the near future. A social given by the High Priests and Seventies and their wives was held at the home of Vincent Leavitt. A program and lunch was enjoyed, after which the coming year's project was discussed. They decided to plant a half acre of onions. Arthur Hughes and sons have been threshing beet seed and alfalfa alf-alfa seed the past few weeks. A good crop is reported. It is estimated esti-mated that about 30 tons of alfalfa alf-alfa seed has been harvested in Virgin Valley. Harley Adams went to Salt Lake City with a truck load last week. The farmers farm-ers are assured of at least 25c per pound for alfalfa seed. |
