Show Used Clothing Campaign Well Underway Clothes Should He Clean And I'salile Hut Need Not He In Full Kepair The United National Clothing Collection Col-lection campaign is getting well under way in Washington county, reports Roy Williams, county chairman. Boxes and bundles of used clothing have been received at the city office, which is collection col-lection center for St. George. The entire county is well organized, and it is believed that Washington county will come through with generous contributions to this worthy cause, says Mr. Williams. Committees are calling call-ing for good, substantial used clothing for both winter and summer sum-mer wear, shoes, coats, work clothes, underwear, pajamas, bedding bed-ding and piece goods that will help to nlay present shortages in war-ravaged countries. Items for infants, children and adults are needed, say the reports. All contributions should be clean and usable, but need not tc ironed or in full repair. After being delivered at the centers they will bo sorted for different age groups and properly packed and boxed for early shipment under official instructions. The urge now, says Mr. Williams, is for people to get their contributions in, so- that the business of sor',:ng and packing pack-ing may go forward. |
