Show Hurricane Lady Lions Give Tea Sunday, 10th HURRICANE, Utah. The Lady Lions gave a tea for the mothers of boys who are in the Army and Navy, Sunday afternoon. The tea was beautifully decorated, with a lace cloth, candelabra and flowers. There were about 35 soldier's mothers present from this part of the county. Mrs. Finley Judd presided. pre-sided. The program was as follows: Salute to the Flag by school girls, under the direction of Mrs. Alma Clark; singing "America", directed' by Mrs. Emil Graff; the address of welcome was given by Mrs. Mary Kleinman; violin selection, by LaDonna Stevens and Roma Heaton, accompanied on the piano by Elva Wright; Mrs. B. M. Jones read an original letter, "From One War Mother To Another" ; "Mother", was sung by the Misses Beulha, Wilma and Dixie Klein-man. Klein-man. A reading by Mrs. Hazel Walker; piano solo, Mrs. Maud Reid; Peter William and Dick Stout sang, "Mom", accompanied by Mrs. L. P. Williams at the piano. Dainty refreshments were served. An organization was effected, consisting of the mothers of soldier sol-dier boys with Mrs. B. M. Jones, president; Mrs. Maggie Neilson, vice president; and Mrs. Anna Wood, secretary and treasurer. |
