Show VIRGIN Minerva Earl Reporter Jesse Cornelius, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Cornelius and Miss Dorothy Wood, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Wood were married mar-ried here February 13 by Bishop Alma Flannigan at the home of the bride. A dance and shower were given here Saturday night at which a large group were in attendance. Many relatives and friends came from other towns. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Dough-tery, Dough-tery, and Mr. and Mrs. Bud Doughtery and son of Long Beach, Calif., Mrs. Arema Turner and son Blaine, and daughter Carol; Miss Ruby Matthews and Cecil Huntsman, Pleasant Grove; Odessa Matthews of Cedar City; Mrs. Noma Kemp and daughter of American Fork; Mr. and Mrs. Jewitt Wood of Kanarra; Mrs. Mary Gardner and sons of Provo and many others from Hurricane and Rockville were here. A shower and dance was given Wednesday night for Mr. and Mrs. Horace Cornelius. They' were married at Elko, Nev., Jan. 1. The bride was the former Miss Rose Lothair of Marlin, Nev. They arrived here February 7 and expect ex-pect to remain until May when they will return to Sparks, Nev., where Mr. Cornelius will resume work as brakeman on the U. P. railroad. Arnold Spendlove has returned from Brawley, Calif., where he has had employment for the past six months. Herbert Wood has returned home from the Iron county hospital hos-pital where he was taken for treatments for asthma and heart trouble. Alma Flannigan and Deward Spendlove served on the jury at St. George last week. James Cornelius has gone back to Brawley, Calif., to resume work. |
