Show Local School Officials To Attend Salt Lake Meet W. O. Bentley of the state school board, Pres. Glenn E. Snow and instructor Rodney A. Ashby of the Dixie junior college, left this (Thursday) morning for Salt Lake City, where the first two will attend at-tend the state school board meeting, meet-ing, being held this week end. A brief leave of absence from his duties at the local institution, has been obtained for instructor Rodney A. Ashby, whose assistance has been requested by the state board of education in their program pro-gram of education for defense. Mrs. Ashby and their children will remain in St. George for the summer, sum-mer, and Mr. Ashby expects to return in time to resume his post at the college. Reporting on recent information, Pres. Glenn E. Snow says the government gov-ernment is planning to materially increase its air instruction program pro-gram and Dixie will share in this increase as rapidly as its facilities permit. This increase may bring very shortly, at least 60 new students stu-dents to St. George for aviation training, as soon as the airport, hangar and housing accomodations accomoda-tions are in readiness, and available. avail-able. President Snow expects to bring additional information home from the state board meeting. |
