Show VIRGIN Minerva Earl Reporter Thanksgiving passed off here very quietly. A party and dance was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Evan Lee in the evening, attended at-tended by the young married people in town, while some attended at-tended the dance at LaVerkin. Mrs. Jack Schofield of Provo arrived here Thursday to visit with her father. Her husband joined her Sunday morning from Las Vegas. They returned to Provo where Jack is attending the B. Y. U., and Mrs. Schofield worKS at tne ration Doara at tne city and county building. Mr. and Mrs. B. M. Jones have been notified that their son, Clifford, Clif-ford, has been promoted to the rank of Captain. He has been stationed sta-tioned at Fort Sill, Okla. Mrs. Jones has returned home from Las Vegas to stay for the present time. Private Leonard Wilcox left last Saturday morning for Pendleton Field, Ore., after a 10-day furlough. fur-lough. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Maloney and daughter, Mrs. Yvonne Wilcox Wil-cox were business visitors at St. George Monday. Mrs. Ella Barney is on the sick list. Sylvester Earl accompanied his daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Marker to Cedar City Sunday to stay a while. His health is not so good of late. |
