Show Hurricane and Dixie Play To Decide Leadership In Six-Man Football League Thursday The Dixie and Hurricane six-man football squads are playing this afternoon what will likely prove to be the championship game of the season. The game is scheduled sched-uled for 2 o'clock at Hurricane. Hurricane has already downed Beaver and Cedar b y decisive scores, while Dixie has trounced Milford and Parowan. The only indicator of the outcome is the Cedar-Parowan game played two weeks ago. The boys at Cedar took this one by a very close score in a last-period rally. Hurricane's score against Cedar was 42-12. Dixie downed Parowan 55-7. Both teams substituted freely against their weaker competitors. Dixie scored almost at will against Parowan, starting out early in the first quarter with a forward pass. Parowan fought stubbornly until she was hopelessly hope-lessly outscored. The game was called before the fourth quarter was completed. In the other league contest last week, Beaver won over Hinckley by a one-touchdown margin. Mil-ford Mil-ford drew a bye. Cedar is playing today at Hinckley Hinck-ley and Parowan at Milford. Dixie entertains Hinckley on Friday, Oct. 22 for the last homo game of the season. On the two week-ends following the Flyers' travel to Beaver and Cedar City. |
