Show Santa Clara Reporter Miss Laura Gubler Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Stucki accompanied ac-companied by Mr. and Mrs. R. N. Ashby of St. George returned Sunday from a month's tour of the East, which took them thru sixteen states. They went east via the southern route and up to New York where they attended the Fair, then on to Niagara Falls and into Canada. They returned by the northern route. Hishop Henry Graff and his counselors and their wives, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Reber and Mr. and Mrs. Norman Gubler left Wednesday to attend conference in Salt Lake City. Mrs. John K. Eardley returned to her home Saturday at Motoqua after spending the past seven weeks with her daughter, Mrs. Calvin Stucki and infant twins. Miss Ora Lelang of Koosharem, Utah is spending the winter here with her sister. Mrs. Crayton T.eavitt and attending school at St. George. Mr., and Mrs. John Keller and Mi-s Esther Cowen of the Arizona Ari-zona Strip were visitors here Saturday Sat-urday at the Jacob Beacham home. Arnold Stucki is visiting with his daughters, Mesdames Clyde and Matt Grey at Central. Mr. and Mrs. Lorenzo Leavitt were visited Sunday by five of their seven daughters. They were Mrs. Ether Stucki, Mrs. Roe Palmer Mrs. Clyde ITigbee and Miss Jean Leavitt of Cedar City and Mrs. James Andrus of St. George. Mr. and Mrs. Clark Chadburn and two children of Elko, are spending a month here with Mr. Chadburn's sister, Mrs. Spencer Reber before moving to California to make their home. Merrill Tobler left Monday for Logan to continue his school work again this winter at the U.S.A.C. was in charge of entertainment and Mrs. Pansy Hardy conducted games after which refreshments were served. Many fine gifts were received. Mistress LaReta Church was honored with a birthday party on Monday for her seventh birthday birth-day anniversary. About twenty guests were present. Molasses making is in full swing. The two mills here running run-ning being Gublers' and Seglers'. Mr. and Mrs. J. Wayne Reid and children have returned from a month's stay in Manti, with relatives rel-atives and friends. C. Y. Spencer of St. George has been here visiting his brother, John. Chester Hardy is able to be out again after an operation. Mrs. Samuel Earl went to Salt Lake City with her husband with his truck. Norman Fuller came in from Nevada on a visit and Essie Asay is home from California. |
