Show Local Guard Unit Reported Getting Ready For Summer Encampment In Washington Company C, Utah National Guard, is progressing very rapidly in preparation for the summer encampment en-campment to be held in the state of Washington during the month of August. The enlisted men are taking very much interest in the organization and are attempting to' qualify for the promotions which are allowed in the company. com-pany. It is anticipated that the unit will be transported from St. George to Cedar City by Union Pacific busses with the (ruck drivers taking the trucks and equipment to Cedar, at which point the unit will entrain and leave bv pullman for Washington, with all trucks and equipment being carried on flat cars assigned for the use of the company. The route to be followed is not definite as yet, but it is anticipated antici-pated that the organization will go by way of Salt Lake and through Idaho and Oregon to the place of encampment. About six days of the 21-day training period will be spent in travel and the balance of the time will be spent in training and maneuvers. maneu-vers.
