Show Stake M.I.A. Sponsors Music Festival At the concluding session of the Quarterly Conference Sunday evening the Stake M.I.A. sponsored sponsor-ed a music festival featuring numbers from the several wards. Lorna Worthen, stake Y.L.M.I.A. president was in charge and presented pre-sented the stake music committee, Mrs. Mae A. Pace, Mrs. Lucile Pitchforth and Seth Harper, who conducted the following program i of vocal numbers: "Kathleen's Wedding", mixed quartette, St. George south ward; "In the Garden of Tomorrow", LeRoy Judd, East ward; "The Morning Breaks", male quartette, Santa Clara and Ivins wards; "A Spirit Flower", ladies chorus, West ward; "Heap O' Living", musical reading, Leeds ward; "In Air", ladies quartette, South ward; "Robin In the Rain", ladies double quartette, Washington ward; "Jean", ladies double quartette, Santa Clara ward; "Beautiful Dreamer", ladies double quartette, three St. George wards and "King Of Glory", ensemble from the choruses of the stake. Prayers were by Herman Larkin and Dan Heaton, outgoing members mem-bers of the Stake M.I.A. board. Enthusiastic appreciation is ex- ; pressed by those who attended for the excellent music provided. This is a regular annual feature of the ! M.I.A. department for the March I conference and the directors of j both ward and stake. |
