Show Fawcett Celebrates 90th Birthday Anniversary George William Fawcett celebrated cele-brated his 90th birthday anniversary anniver-sary Wednesday by visiting among his many friends and receiving congratulations at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Clara Larson, where he is spending the winter. Like Alexander Fullerton, he is one of the boys, who arrived with the first three wagons at the old adobe yard camp in St. George in 1S61, and he enjoys remembering remember-ing early day events. After long years of hard labor on the Rio Virgin he went with his family from the Price bench, below this city, to help colonize Lund, Nev. He still calls Lund his home, but since the death of his wife nearly two years ago, he comes to St. George for the winter season. Though his health is not so good, he is happy to be able to get about and to visit with the few of his boyhood friends, who are still alive. |
