Show State Road Officials Yisit Washington County W. H. Hammond, chairman and George Abbott, state road commissioner commis-sioner with R. A. Gillis, district, engineer were in Washington county yesterday viewing some of the road problems as presented by the county commissioners and citizens of this section. A delegation from Washington presented the need for a bridge across the Virgin river below Washington and the men were taken to look at the site and investigate in-vestigate the possibilities of such a bridge. The county commissioners commission-ers also took them up on the road to Enterprise, showing them the present route and the proposed one. In answering the delegation from Washington. Mr. l!am:nnnd stated that since it wasn't a ; .'rt of the sta'.o road system they would be unable to take over this project. However, he said that if the county commissioners would write the state road commission, he felt certain that they would cooperate in sending an engineer here to work with the county engineer en-gineer in surveying the site and (Continued on page four) Road Officials Here i (Continued from first page) j drawing up plans for such a bridge.
