Show NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS State of Utah Office of State Road Commission Salt Lake City, Utah. October 31, 1939. . Sealed bids will received by the State Road Commission of Utah, State Capitol, Salt Lake City, Utah, at 2 o'clock p.m. Wednesday, Wednes-day, November 15, 1939, and at that time publicly opened for construction con-struction of a graded earth road in Washington County the same being Federal Aid Secondary Project Pro-ject No. F.A.S. 24-A (1) between St. George and Diamond Valley. The length of road to be constructed con-structed or improved is 2.099 miles, and the principal items of work are approximately as follows: fol-lows: 41,000 Cu. Yd. Unclassified Excavation. Ex-cavation. The attention of bidders is directed di-rected to the Special Provisions covering subletting or assigning the contract. The minimum wage paid to all skilled labor employed on this contract shall be 80 cents per hour. The minimum wage paid to all intermediate labor employed on this contract shall be 60 cents per hour. The minimum wage paid to all unskilled labor employed on this contract shall be 50 cents per hour. Plans and specifications are on file in the office of the State Road Commission, Salt Lake City, and at District Engineer's office at Cedar City, Utah where they may be reviewed by prospective bidders. Specification, proposals, bidding blanks and plans will be furnished at Salt Lake City on depositing $2.00, which will be returned, re-turned, providing contractor submits sub-mits an acceptable bid and returns re-turns the plans within seven days after bids are received. Any additional ad-ditional information may be secured at the office of the State Road Commission. Each bidder must submit a letter from an approved surety company guaranteeing guar-anteeing to furnish said bidder with required bond. The right to reject any or all bids is reserved. re-served. Cash, certified check, or cashier's check for five per cent of total amount of bid made payable pay-able to the State Road Commission Commis-sion must accompany each bid as evidence of good faith and a guarantee that if awarded the contract, the bidder will execute the contract and give bond as required.
