Show i Over $600 To Be Paid Local Guard Members The pay checks for the local Guard unit covering the months of May and June, have been received. re-ceived. This pay roll will mean quite a bit to the men who are in the Guard and amounts to over $600 for the May and June period. Captain Klenk requests all members mem-bers of the Guard, including those who have been discharged, to be present at drill Monday at 8 o'clock so that the pay checks may be issued. "The boys are progressing very well with their drill work", says Lieutenant Cannon, "and several promotions will be made in the near future." The remodeling of the armory has been fully completed and as soon as the equipment arrives the local unit will be in a position to proceed in full, strength and will be comparable to any of the other Guard units throughout the state. |
