Show New Mail Schedule Speeds Salt Lake Delivery Change Provides 24-Hour Mail Service For This Section With North The new mail schedule, which went into effect Monday, Jan. 16, puts St. George one more step ahead in postal connection with the rest of the world. Under this new provision, mail for this section, sec-tion, posted in Salt Lake City up to 5 p.m. will leave on the train at 11:55 p.m. and arrive in St. George at 8:30 the following morning. The mail then leaves almost immediately for Kanab and the return trip is made by 5:30 p.m. to pick up the northbound north-bound mail and send it forward not later than 6 p.m., reports Postmaster William Brooks.
