Show Local News Items . . . Dick Jennings returned Mondaji from Provo where he has visited the past two weeks with his sister, Lois Jennings. Miss Velda Leany returned on Monday from spending three weeks with relatives in Pioche, Nev. Mr. and Mrs. Orval Lamoreaux, of Paragonah have been here since Sunday to attend the Hunt family reunion and visit relatives. They are guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Carter. Miss Mildred Bower of Logan, instructor at the U.S.A.C., is spending this week in Washington county visiting the various 4-H clubs under the direction of the extension service. Mr. and Mrs. John McAllister and small son were guests Monday Mon-day of Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Mc Allister of this city. Mrs. McAllister Mc-Allister and son are here from Fairview to spend two weeks with Mr. McAllister, who is an employee at Zion National Park. Mrs. Phoebe Reid of Payson and three daughters, Mrs. Ralph Alexander of Vernal; Mrs. Leland Fillmore of Dawson, Y. T., Canada and Mrs. Guy H. Hurst, of Ogden, visited in St. George Saturday enroute to the California coast for a vacation. Mrs. A. S. Reber and daughters, Meryle, Joyce, Lois May and Carolyn, of Higley, Ariz., Mrs. John Whipple and son, Jay Lynn, of Logandale, Nev., visited in St. George Monday, enroute to Provo to attend the birthday anniversary celebration of their mother, Mrs. M. Jorgensen, Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Cones arrived ar-rived Thursday from Grand Junction Junc-tion to visit Mrs. Cone's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert E. Miller. Mr. Cones returned home Sunday, leaving Mrs. Cones and two sons, Ronald and Rob, to remain until the end of the month. |
