Mrs. Wesley Nelson returned Monday night from the coast where she had spent the past week on a business and pleasure trip. She attended the San Francisco Fran-cisco Fair while away. Samuel Brooks of Salt Lake City spent Tuesday and Wednesday Wednes-day visiting relatives in St. George, a guest at the home of i Mr. and Mrs. George Brooks. He came with Elmer Kingsford, also of Salt Lake, who spent Wednesday Wednes-day in Kanab. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas P. Cottam Cot-tam and son arrived Wednesday ! from Logandale to visit relatives and on business. Mr. and Mrs. Art Dahl and baby motored up from Las Vegas Wednesday to join Mrs. Dahl's ; parents. Mr. and Mrs. Dan A. i Seegmiller and her sister, Helen, I and go with them to Kanab for i the funeral services of John I Adams, Mrs. Seegmiller's father. ! McArthur, Mc-Arthur, Mrs. Ellis J. Pickett, Miss Orpha Morris and Mrs. Nettie K. Morris attended the funeral services of John Adams, in Kanab Wednesday. Mrs. Rhoda Cannon returned to Hurricane late Tuesday after spending four days in St. George visiting with her children. Mrs. Lottie R. Bryner is able to be about again after several weeks of illness. Mrs. Walter Jensen assisted by Mrs. Tom Young entertained at a bridge luncheon at the Jensen home last Thursday afternoon. Mrs. L. W. McGregor won high score, Mrs. Bill Dilldime second, and Mrs. Roy Myers consolation. W. O. Bentley returned late Tuesday from Salt Lake City where he had been over the weekend week-end on business. Fordham completed the reading of her grandmother's (Mrs. Marv Ann Hafen 1 life sketch. Refreshments were served to 10. I Mrs. David Moss was obliged to return to the hospital Sunday due to a relapse. She is reported slightly improved. Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Thompson and daughter, Diane, arrived on Thursday from Sail I-'ike Cily to visit relatives. Members of the Vesta club, with their husbands and other guests, totaling 4G, assembled Sunday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Dallon to honor Mrs. Dalton on her birthday anniversary. anniver-sary. Dinner was served and the evening devoted to an informal program. The Misses Nellie Snow, Bessie Jones and Virginia Prince were hostesses Sunday at a bridal shower given at the Snow home for Miss Merlene Fawcett, whose marriage to Ellcrt Nelson will occur early in March. Mrs. Mary Cottam Emett, sister. Rose and brother, Dean, from Richfield. The group attended the funeral of a cousin. Robert Bentley. Bent-ley. of Cedar City. Anthony Lytle. who has been seriously ill the past two weeks, is reported making slight improvement. im-provement. Grant Wright of Hurricane underwent surgery at the local hospital February 16. The west ward Daughters of the Pioneers will meet Thursday, Mar. 2. at the home of Mrs. W. O. Bentley. |
