Show ST. GEORGE CAMP Mr. E. W. Samuell, E. C. W. Inspector for Arizona, was a vis-ior vis-ior at DG-45 recently. Mr. Samuell Sam-uell was on official business, making mak-ing an inspection tour of Camp DG-45, of which D. M. Thompson is the superintendent. The anniversary program held at Company 253S last Tuesday evening, Ocober 27, was a success from every angle. Among the participants were guests: Mayor l Miller, Sheriff Prince, Edgar Simpson, Simp-son, Vernon Worthen, W. T. Morris, Mor-ris, Jr., Mr. Stucki, and Mr. Witt-wer. Witt-wer. Mr. Andreson, Educational advisor ad-visor made a trip to the stub camp located near Wolf Hole last Thursday Thurs-day for the purpose of supervising supervis-ing the educational program and to start three additional high school courses in the camp. Seven courses are being taught at the present time in the spike camp. Among the numerous improvements improve-ments in the Company, the installation in-stallation of a sink, with hot and cold water piped into the camp barber shop, is one unit of the camp that has been raised to a more efficient standard. Friday morning of last week Dr. Walter D. Whaleu, made his periodic visit to the spike camp for the express purpose of making mak-ing his inspection. The first call for basketball practice was answered by fifteen athletes who are anxious to make the camp team. Practice .is held each Saturday morning from 10 to 12. |
