Show jVeyo Ward ! Dedicates New Relief Society Bldg. Speakers Praise Work Of Veyo Church Members; History of Town Told By Bp. Chadburn VEYO. Utah Dedicatory ser-i ser-i vice were held here Sunday evening, even-ing, December 19 for the new Relief Re-lief socity building. Pres. W. O. Bentley and W. W. McArthur of the Stake Presidency and George E. Miles, clerk: Mrs. Juanita Brooks, stake relief society president, presi-dent, were among those present to assist in its dedication. Bp. George Chadbum told how the building had been erected with the Church furnishing most of the cash and local men doing the labor as their part of the cost. A short sketch of the settlement of Veyo and the organization of the Relief society was given by Mrs. Caroline B. Cottam. Veyo ward rebef society president. Mr. McArthur and Mrs. Brooks spoke complimentarily on the accomplishment ac-complishment of the Veyo ward and encouraged those present to continue in the work. President Bentley offered the dedicatory prayer. Musical numbers were furnished fur-nished by Mildred Bowler and Von Cottam. Blanch Bowler and Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Cottam. A light lunch was served after the services and an hour was spent in visiting. A wonderful spirit is reported to have , prevailed through-out the meeting. Elethra Cox and Zora Jarvis and Mrs. W. W. McArthur, all of St. George were also present at the dedication of the building. |
