Show Leeds CCC Camp . Lieut. Neil W. Lamb takes command com-mand of CCC company 585 at Leeds, Utah. Lieutenant Lamb, originally from Lancaster, Ohio, was assigned assign-ed to Company 585 for active duty July 21, 1937, where he acted in the capacity of junior officer. During the Lieutenant's tour of active duty he has demonstrated marked ability and leadership. He is a graduate of the Ohio State university, where he majored major-ed in economics and accounting. He is a member of the Beta Phi Sigma fraternity and is a member I of the Army and Navy Club of Columbus. The Lieutenant takes command with the cooperation and full support sup-port of the members of Company 585. A detachment of thirty-nine men representing the Explorer scouts of the company recently made a trip to Volcano mountain. The purpose of this expedition was to gain a first hand view of the geological formations there, observe some of southern Utah's scenic attractions and gain some scouting experience in the field of camping. This three-fold purpose was accomplished ac-complished to the satisfaction of these boys from Kentucky and Ohio for the majority of the group scaled the mountain, obtained some interesting specimens for the camp museum, obtained an interesting in-teresting view of the scenery from that vantage point, and the camping? camp-ing? Well that hunter stew cooked over the camp fire will long be remembered by tho boys. I |
