The curls about his forehead formed A golden diadem, His sapphire eyes reflected still The Star of Bethlehem. He pointed to the Christmas wreaths, Bejeweled, red and white. His voice rang out like silver bells Upon the frosty night: These scarlet berries ar the drops Of blood th pit Jesus shed; These pearls upon the mistletoe Are Mary's tears." he said. |
