Show MRS. BARBARA FORSYTHE IS LAID AWAY AT TOQUERVILLE The News regrets exceedingly that mention was not made in this paper of the passing away of Mrs. Barbara Barb-ara Forsythe of Toquerville recently. We did not know of the lady dying in this city and was surprised to receive re-ceive a letter from a Toquerville lady some time later in which she refers to the fact that mention of it and the funeral was not made by our Toquerville Toquer-ville correspondent. Unfortunately, the lady who wrote does not give date of either the death or the funeral funer-al of Mrs. Forsythe, and as she is not at present in Toquerville we have to let the notice go as she sent it in. The letter referred to is as follows: fol-lows: "Editor Washington County News. Dear Sir: It seems our Toquerville correspondence neglects sending important im-portant news of our little town to you. Mrs. Barbara Forsyth's death and funeral was never made mention of, to the regret of all the citizens of Toquerville, as she was a faithful worker and also a friend of the Washington County News. If you will publish this we .will greatly appreciate ap-preciate it as her friends. "Mrs. Barbara Lamb Forsythe was taken to the county hospital eight weeks ago to prepare her for an operation op-eration for the removal of goiter, but she passed away a few hours after the operation. Her body was sent home accompanied by her daughter Delia, who is a graduate nurse at the hospital. "Mrs. Forsythe was the wife of Benjamin H. Forsythe, and she leav-;es leav-;es the following children: Donald, iFera Batty, Kenneth, Delia, Edith and Ethel (twins) and La Verde. ' "Funeral services were held here ;a week ago. A large crowd from St. , George was present, also her brother, 1 Press Lamb of Salt Lake City. ! "'Aunt Barbara' as she was cal-! cal-! led, was loved by all who knew her. She was an angel of mercy among ;the sick; was a faithful Relief Society Socie-ty worker, an active teacher and was always ready to do her part cheerfully. cheer-fully. Too much cannot be said of i;her, as she was a willing soldier in ; t lie cause of truth." |
