Show RED CROSS NURSE FOR WASHINGTON COUNTY NEXT THREE MONTHS , - ' . t ?iX A) ;...!.. .' X -Vi . Miss Marge Kritz, Rad C'ro:s Public Health Nurse, arrived in St. George this week to begin a three months public health program pro-gram In Washington County. The Red Cross Nurse committee met in the office of the Washington County School Board at 2 p. m., January 2nd and outlined this three months program with Miss Kirtz. It is the first service of the kind in this community and is inaugurated by the National Red Cross in cooperation with Washington Wash-ington County Chapter, local school and health authorities, the county government and other agencies. Instruction ror girls and boys, as well as adults in Home Hygiene and Care of the Sick, are other phases of her work. Infant welfare conference? with mothers also will feature the local program. During her stay here. Miss Kritz will have the cooperation of the Nursing Activities Committee, Com-mittee, composed of representatives representa-tives of contributing agencies. This committee comprises Mrs. W. W. Cannon, Walter F. Smith, Milton E. Moody, Mrs. Blanche Lewis, Mrs. Juanita Brooks, Dr. D. A. McGregor, Ed Simmons, Jetta Snow, Josephine Sandberg, of Hurricane, and B. C. Farns-worth Farns-worth of Enterprise. Miss Kritz has long been identified iden-tified with public health activities activit-ies having served in a number of California counties before being assigned to Washington County by Miss Rena Haig, director of Red Cross Nursing Service in the Pacific Area, with headquarters at. San Francisco. ! Miss Kritz was professionally I trained at Mounds Park Hospital, ! St. Paul, Minnesota and continued continu-ed her educational work at the University of Minnesota and the University of Washington. |
