Show WOODWARD SCHOOL Mr Worthen's eighth grade We held an election, Monday, February 18th. The students were elected as follows: Keith Hafen, president, Laura Lytle, vice-president, Alice Thompson, secretary, LaRaine McArthur, judge, and amusement committee, tromn Mary Cottam, Shipley Snow, and Freday Klein. Mr. Frei's grade held election, also. The results were as follows- D. C. Watson, president, Bernice Miles, vice-president, Jlane Pace, secretary, Marion Woodard, treasurer, Rudger McArthur, Mc-Arthur, Beth Wfide, Francis Fftr-feuaon, Fftr-feuaon, Vlance Johnson, Jessie Cannon, are the Jurors, Shiela Sturzneggar, Judge, Policemen, Leland Hirschi, Irane Esplin, and amusement committee, Kenneth Blake, Phil Squires, and Ruth Wendel. Jessie Cannon, Jane Pace, Reporters. Second Grade i Little Robin's Nest Once upon a time there was a little Robin. His name was Cock-Robin. He was very happy, as he sang all day long. One day when he was away from his nest, which was high in a tree, a little boy came and climbed up the tree. He looked all around to find some nests. Finally Fin-ally he found the Robin's nest. He - snatched the nest and destroyed de-stroyed it. When Cock-Robin came back he flew to the tree and up to where he had built his nest, but he found it wasn't there at all. "Someone has taken it, lie said to himself. He looked high, low, and all around, but he couldn't see it anywhere. So Little Cock-Robin flew away to make a new nest. The people who had listened to him sing missed his sweet notes. The little boy, who had stolen the Robin's nest, felt very sad because be-cause he missed the little Robin and his sweet tunes. The litttle Robin was very happy in his new home. |
