Show a i t A t . . .......,.........? DISTRICT COMMITTEE MEETS The St. George Dist. Coiu".viW Zion Park Council, B. S. A., met Tuesday night, Chairman W. O. Bent-ley Bent-ley and ten members present. By unanimous consent, the time for meetings was changed from 8 to S: 30 p. m. during the summer months. A letter from Executive A. Golden Kilburn was read in which a program was outlined for the annual meeting of the council at Zion park, June 13th. The date and program was tentative and date will probably be changed as stake conference is called for June 13 and 14. As many members mem-bers of the district committee as can attend will be there, but all cannot as they will not be here, among them the chairman who will he up north attending summer school. Regional Executive Miller will be present and it is hoped that official bestowal of the eagle rank will then be made on Scouts Bliss Javvis and Carlyle Thompson. Scouts Entci t;vin Parents Troops 1 and 2 East Ward scouts entertained their parents on the lawn :,t the home of Mr. and Mrs. B. Jar- vis, Jr.. last Friday night. The spacious spac-ious lawn with its background of climbing roses, pomegranates, etc., made a splendid place for the doings. Scout Leaders B. Jarvis, Jr., and Geo. T Thompson bad their boys out m force and right royally were the parents par-ents treated. Fathers and sons entered into scout games with a right good will and so zealously were these games carried out that even the mothers got excited and could hardly keep their , seats Following the games scout j ongs were sung by everybody and j caused lots of fun. Refreshments : consisting of ice cream and many.; kinds of cake were served, the only regret among the visitors being that thev could not eat all of it. There was considerable left after the S people present bad their fill. It was sure a dandy good time and brought scouts and their parents -into a better understanding of scout-! scout-! ing that ever before. |
