Show RMYFORD FAMILY REUNION Springdale, May 5th. The Crawford Craw-ford family held a reunion at Oak cek Saturday and Sunday, Sunday b!;in? "Aunt" Cornelia Crawford's senty-fourtli birthday. She was horn in Manti, Utah, 1S51, and moved Tllh her parents to Shonesberg, Washington County, twelve years lat-er- She met "William R. Crawford w)'o lived at that place and they were married November 1, 1S6S, and con- inued to live in Shoensberg until the Indian trouble broke out in 1S75 0P he:i they lived in Rockville for a time. They moved to Springdale in llj 187.1 to establish a home for them- flt selv, and remained in that place. 1,r- Crawford acted as bishop for many years before his death on Octob-or Octob-or 2.1. 1913. "Aunt" Cornelia was the mother of f "'i-teen children all of which were . Present except Joseph who died in 1S9 and Lora Ann, who died August 30. KS93. There was present 11 I children, 4 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, Edwin Stout being be-ing the only living member of the family absent. Invitations were ex-tented ex-tented to Mr. and Mrs. John Dennett of Rockville for dinner Sunday, as they were old schoolmates of Mr. and Mrs. William Crawford. Mrs. Dennett Den-nett has been the doctor for most of the Crawford family for many years. Invitations were also extended to Mr. jam! Mrs. Mack, Bean, Hyrum and Bessie Reuscb and Erastus Mathew-json.the Mathew-json.the latter of Cedar City. Saturday Satur-day after a bountiful dinner the entire party visited Zion park and drove : their cars over the same country that Sister Crawford had traveled over by ox team many years before. Sunday was spent visiting and having a good time in general. Ice cream was served serv-ed for dinner and also later in the ! afternoon. ; George Spendlove brought the people peo-ple from Hurricane and attended the reunion and in the afternoon was speaker in the sacrament meeting. Mr. Spendlove is an old friend of the Crawfords and spent the two days as i one of the group. Those present at the reunion from , Hurricane were, Marion F. Stout and family. George H. Isom and family, and George Spendlove. |
