Show WASHINGTON The Junior Genealogical class gave an entertainment here Monday Mon-day evening to obtain funds for charts and books for the class. Tuesday, members of the class jheld an ice cream party at the jhome of Mrs. LaRue Hoops. The evening was spent in games and dancing. Mrs. Margarette Averett returned re-turned home from Cedar City 'where she has been visiting her daughter, Mrs. Ray Crosslett. Mrs. Minnie Schmutz and Mrs. Rass Cooper entertained Just-A-Mere-Club at the Cooper home. I Mrs. Elizabeth Prisbrey returned re-turned Sunday from Orderville where she has been visiting her 'daughter, Emma Hoyt. j The Staheli threshing machine (and crew left for Fillmore Friday. Fri-day. Sherman Cooper returned home the latter part of the week from Meadows, after taking his wife home to visit her mother. Harry Averett returned home from the sheep herd to visit his folks a few days. Deverene Adams returned the latter part of the week from Nevada Ne-vada where he has been working. A group of junior girls played baseball with Kanarra here Wednesday. Wed-nesday. The score being six to three in favor of Washington. Mrs. La Rue Hoops returned Sunday from Beaver where she has been visiting her father for a week. Mrs. Viola Larsen's small grandson, Eugene Rosenloff, who is visiting here from California, had the misfortune to get quite badly hurt last Saturday when he fell off a hay wagon. The wagon passed over the lower part of his body, bruising him badly. Mel Weaver, who is employed at Pioche, is visiting relatives here. James Hall is visiting relatives in town. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Averett, of Cedar City, were visiting relatives rela-tives Sunday. The two small sons of Elva Hamilton, Darwin and Roland, are visiting their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew. Mrs. Mary Jolly and son, Howard, How-ard, are leaving for California to visit Mrs. Jolly's children. Miss Celest Iverson returned home the latter part of the week from Pioche. DIAMOND VALLEY Mr. and Mrs. Albert O. Faw-cett Faw-cett of Diamond Valley had as their guests to a chicken dinner on Tuesday evening Mrs. Elizabeth Eliza-beth M. Dedekind of Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. D. C. Watson and Mr. and Mrs. O. C. Bowman of St. George, and Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Cornell of Diamond Valley. |
