ADDS MAJOR IN AGRICULTURAL ECONOMICS PROVO A c c e d i n g to the growing interest and complexity in economics of the farm, Brig-ham Brig-ham Young university has this year established a division with a thirty hour major in agricultural agricul-tural economics. j This new branch of the economics eco-nomics department .will be administered ad-ministered by Dr. A. Rex Johnson. John-son. Dr. Johnson was in charge of civil service examinations in ( economics and agricultural economics eco-nomics at Washington for' a three year period. Other instructors (of courses in this department will be Seth T. Shaw and Dr. ;Lowry Nelson, who is away on leave. I Classwork will strike right at I the problems affecting the farm 'today, and the entire field of 'economics as it affects agriculture agricul-ture will be surveyed. The scope of study is indicated by some of the classes outlined as follows: Agricultural Economics and Mar-1 'keting; Western Land Problems,! jwestern Agricultural Reform, I arm Management and Agricul-j tural Finance.
