Show BUNKERVILLE Bunkerville, Nev., Feb. 8. A man from Los Angeles is making weekly trips in here buying beef and hogs, which is quite a help to the people in disposing of their surplus stock. Luther Hafen accompanied him last week, says they left here one morning morn-ing at 10 o'clock and were in Los Angeles the next morning. He came back Sunday and left with another load yesterday. Ira Leavitt of Mes-quite Mes-quite went with him. Last night a "movie" was conducted conduct-ed by Mr. Shank, our agriculture teacher, on the subject of "better i dairying." The boys' calf club was also urged to do their work properly. Mrs. Lottie Eaton and Mrs. Elmer Leavitt changed homes last week. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Leavitt also bought a lot of Mrs. Lena Leavitt, where they will make their home. The small child of Mr. and Mrs. Vincen Leavitt took suddenly ill last week and had three convulsions Wednesday. Wed-nesday. They left for Las Vegas Sunday for medical aid. In a recent essay contest by all the high schools in Nevada, a second prize of 10 was . won by Francis Leavitt of this school. Elmer Leavitt, who is -working near Veyo, Utah, was here to spend Sunday Sun-day with his family and friends. Miss Ardyce Bunker who is attending attend-ing college at Dixie spent Sunday here. . Born, a daughter to Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Leavitt, at Las Vegas Feb. 2nd. |
