Show MORE EVIDENCES OF FALSE ROAD INFORMATION (Iron County Record) Leland Perry recently received a letter from Sergeant Winter, formerly for-merly of Cedar City, but now residing re-siding in Sweetwater, Texas, informing inform-ing him that one of his band men had jusfc returned from a trip through Utah, and had been informed in-formed by the Salt Lake automobile association not to go through southern south-ern Utah as the roads were impassable. impas-sable. We have heard of this kind of dope quite frequently from tourists that have come this way despite the advices of the Salt Lake association, asso-ciation, 'but have been rather inclined in-clined to think that the tourists have been mistaken. But this letter, coming from Sergeant Ser-geant Winter, causes us to lean the other way and believe that the association as-sociation is deliberately trying to prevent travelers from coming this way. What benefit it can be to the association as-sociation to deliberately lie about the southern Utah roads, we have been unable to find out. It would seem the action is simply one born of jealousy. This is a matter that should be taken up by the Chamber of Commerce, Com-merce, and should it prove true, means should be taken to put a stop to the deliberate falsifying about road conditions in this section of the state. |
