Miss Annie Schlappi was called to her home at Delta Saturday on account ac-count of the serious illness of her mother. Mr. and Mrs. L. S. Carter and small son, Wayne, returned Saturday from Las Vegas where they have been for the past three wesks. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Pickett returned re-turned Sunday from Ogden where they attended the convention of the American Legion and Auxiliary. Erastus S. Gardner and Misses Elizabeth Snow and Effie Gardner of Pine Valley were visitors here Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Worthen left Tuesday for Springdale where Mr. Worthen will teach school the coming com-ing term. Mrs. F. Edgar Mineer and baby of Mesquite spent Wednesday here, the baby receiving medical treatment. treat-ment. Mr. and Mrs. George Miles and daughter arrived here Wednesday from Centerville to visit Mr. Miles' parents. Kendrick Morgan who spent the summer here, left Monday for his home at Chicago in company with his father who arrived here that morning. A missionary farewell for Ellis Everett will be given Saturday night at the open air pavilion. He will leave soon for the Swiss-German mission. Angus Cannon and son Will returned re-turned Sunday from Beaver where they have been working. Mrs. Cannon Can-non returned with them after a short visit there. Miss Sylvia Gates returned Tuesday Tues-day from Los Angeles where she spent a month with her sister, Miss Edith. Mr. and Mrs. George N.
