Show FORMER DIXIE TEACHER DEAD Orson D. Campbell of Provo, former art instructor at Dixie College, died Sunday morning of cerehfral hemorrhage. He fell outside a Provo store, striking his head on the sidewalk. After the mishap, Mr. Campbell Camp-bell returned to the Provo high school, where he was directing the work of drawing scenes for the annual opera, but later returned re-turned to his home after he felt ill. He became gravely ill Saturday Satur-day evening and succumbed Sunday Sun-day at 12:40 a. m. Mr. Campbell won distinction for his landscape paintings and was one of the organizers of the Provo City and Utah county artists' art-ists' league, of which he was president in 1921. He was chairman of the art league and head of the art department de-partment of the Provo city schools at the time of his death. Surviving are two sons, L. O. Campbell, Salt Lake, and Elmo El-mo P. Campbell, Provo, and three daughters, Musses Marian Wanda and Juanita Campbell, all of Provo. |
