Show I BDAA FLASHES by Jim Abplanalp MINERS MEET WASATCH Bingham High's "Miner" foot-j foot-j ball eleven will play host to Wasatch tonight in a pre-season , prep tussle at the Copperton sta-: sta-: dium at 8:00 pjn. This will be the local preps second skirmish, , and should be a good game. ; Coach Del Schick's squad is com- ing along in pretty fair shape and could give a pretty good ac-' ac-' count of themselves. Last Friday the local eleven traveled to Lincoln Lin-coln for a praotice tilt and tied a strong club. The new grid schedule will see the Miners facing several entirely entire-ly new squads for league play. The only old member of the new league besides the Miners is Grantsville. Five new squads will be in action in the new setup, set-up, with past year's champion rieasant urove, u.Y. High, Juab, American Fork, and Lehl furnishing fur-nishing plenty of tough competition compe-tition for the Bingham crew. Your BDAA cards will toe honored hon-ored for admission at all of Bingham's Bing-ham's home games. EARLY SHOOT THIS YEAR The annual BDAA Turkey and Chicken Shoots will toe held early this year, so as to avoid the toad weather that has hampered some of our shoots in the past. Tentative Tenta-tive dates for the shoots have been set for the last part of this month and the first week in October. Oc-tober. Plans are toeing made to hold the big rifle contest about September Sep-tember 27 and 28, and the .22 rifle contest on October 4 and 5. Some new ideas have been thought of to interest more shooters, especially the ones who are riot classed in the 'expert division. We hope to have all details for next week's issue of the Bulletin and will give you a run-down on prizes, rules and other details then. In the meantime, get in a little practice, it never hurts, and you may win a nice fat turkey or chicken. |
