Show NEWS NOTES FROM WOODWARD SCHOOL The Woodward is happy to have two members on the group of six in the final spelling lineup, and one of these, "Everene Cox, was next to the last one to stand. Six teams have been used during dur-ing the past week in the girls' elimination baseball games. Three games were played each day, making mak-ing a total of "fifteen games during dur-ing the week and each team kept total score of points made in all five games, which were played with interchanging groups. The Lola Alexander feam won the finals fin-als with a total score of 66 points. In kick ball, teams were lined up under Virginia Moody and Ar-lene Ar-lene Harris, the final score going to the Virginia Moody group, two games having been played off each day. An attempt is being made to compile a complete history of the Woodward school during the 29 years it has been in operation, and Miss Mishie Seegmiller has been appointed historian. Miss Linda Larson, teacher of . the sixth grade .returned to school this week, after being out on account of an attack of mumps. Several students also returned this week after a siege with the same disease. Organized playground activity is still being sponsored by the school with the object in view of having every student take part in the games. |
